Hi, Not necessarily. I am using it with Orange UK PAYG without a problem. No debrand needed. Just a standard SIM unlock. The process described here affects only to the phone aesthetics and usability. No flash whatsoever, as the only efforts to create custom ROMS for this model haven't got too far.

so would you have to completely debrand the VF handset to be able to use it on PAYG then? I.e. Reflash in a similar way to how it has been described here?
